The guided tours which are offered in Waging am See, Tittmoning and Kirchanschöring offer you fascinating knowledge, astonishing facts and lighthearted entertainment all wrapped into a leisurely walk through the historic communities of the Rupertiwinkel.
An active journey into the history of Waging: allow trained guides to introduce you to local traditions and folk customs, while you experience an array of nature highlights and historic buildings, all of which are presented to you in a very clear context.
Between the magnificent Baroque parish church, the proud homes of merchants and craftsmen, along with the building that used to be the seat of the former Pfleggericht, you will also walk in the footsteps of the ancient Bajuwarii and discover the influences Salzburg had on this town.
In the process, you will learn about the astonishingly rich history, culture and development of this market town, whilst also being treated to entertaining facts about the land and its people.
Every Monday (mid-May until mid-September), except on days when the Culinary Walk is being offered.

Accompany our local guide on an intriguing walk through the historic market town of Waging, during which, as you look at the magnificent parish church and other splendid buildings, you will clearly be able to make out the Salzburg influence.
Aside from anecdotes about famous personalities, your taste buds will be in for a real treat as well. Awaiting you at the Bergader cheese shop will be a delectable sampling, while the tour concludes with yet another tasting, this time of regional organic products in the Kurpark.

In the history of Bavaria, the ancient town of Tittmoning has played a very important role. Today, above all Tittmoning Castle attests to a time when this place on the banks of the River Salzach was regularly the site of trading, conflict, but also celebrations. The charm of this town has remained to this very day.
Local town guides will lead you through the narrow streets, to numerous monuments, past unique building façades, and various other highlights including the town square.

Since 2004, Kirchanschöring has proudly displayed the gold medal it won in the Germany-wide competition “Our village will become more beautiful – Our village will have a future”, with the town receiving praise above all for its outstanding quality of life and its farsighted approach to social issues.
The “Goldweg–Rundgang”, led by expert local guides, takes you to some of the town’s most exceptional buildings along with 20 locations in the village center that inform you about the quality of life in Kirchanschöring and about the town in its greater context. Along the way, sights will include the parish church, several farms and estates, the townhall as well as the war memorial.
Other tours give you an opportunity to visit the Rupertiwinkel Farm Museum, chapels, as well as nature sanctuaries and biotopes in and around town.
